Shayna Sherwood is the daughter of Arthur and Margo Sherwood, the founders of Sherwood Real Estate. A proud Vermonter, Shayna was raised in the state and witnessed firsthand the entrepreneurial spirit of her parents as they navigated various business ventures. Her father commuted to Montreal for work, while her mother managed the real estate business and established a reputation in Vermont’s Antique and Collectibles industry.
Before entering real estate, Shayna spent 12 years working in the entertainment industry, earning an Emmy nomination as Casting Director for Nickelodeon’s reboot of their hit TV show All That. Her time in Hollywood sharpened her business expertise, refined her strategic thinking, and enhanced her ability to navigate the demands of a high-pressure industry. Her ability to build lasting and trusted connections is the foundation of her success in both casting and real estate. Returning to Vermont has allowed Shayna to join her family’s real estate business and contribute to the continued growth of its legacy.
Shayna is deeply committed to helping people connect with Vermont’s unique charm. For her, real estate is more than just transactions—it’s about community and shaping the future of the state by creating opportunities for both longtime Vermonters and newcomers. Despite challenges like the housing crisis, Shayna remains optimistic about Vermont’s future. She believes in balancing the preservation of the state’s rich heritage with the fresh perspectives brought by people from outside the region. Having lived in Vermont, California, Canada, and abroad, Shayna understands the importance of experiencing different cultures to foster understanding and connection.
While she continues to pursue her casting and producing ambitions, including her dream of winning an Oscar one day, Shayna is currently focused on helping her clients find their perfect properties. Through her work in real estate, she aims to contribute to Vermont’s vibrant future while honoring its local roots.
